Here is an Inktober 2016 drawing that really sparked my interest in working with pen and ink. -
Exploring the lines of a lobster boat has been a rewarding experience. -
So I could understand boats better, I felt it necessary to build a few models. -
Visual aids are a handy reference tool for an artist. I built this one for my desk as a constant study guide. -
I'm always working on the next boat and somehow find time to draw!
I'm rediscovering the New England Coast through pen and ink.

I grew up spending lots of time in Friendship Harbor. My family has rich history in this part of Maine. I love spending time on the water and enjoying the sound of lobster boats, and the peaceful views across the harbor. It's endlessly inspiring.
